Hi Dylan!

I had me knee surgery on friday, all went well. I hardly have to use my crutches and i am not in very much pain. While the doctor was in there, he saw that my knee cap was also "jagad" so he had to smooth it out. I start my physical therapy next week. You definately had a big role in it for me making my decision and i want to thank you so much! Hopefully i will be able to go running soon. Take care! MJ

I had surgery on a Thursday and then was back at work by Monday. It probably depends on what you do and which leg the surgery is on. If it is the leg you operate your car with (gas peddle) it can be unsafe to drive.

I had arthroscopic knee surgery to do what is called a lateral release(as you might know since you read my blog). It was a easy surgery and it corrected my some what crooked knees. I would suggest that if you can get it with your insurance that you get a cold therapy machine as it greatly speeds healing. game ready is who makes the one that I used after my second of two knee surgeries.

The most important thing I can say about recovery is to do the physical therapy. If you do not do what the PT tell you, your knee will go back to the way it was. Also make sure that you do not baby your knee any more then you have to since that can cause your knee to become weak as it heals.

I am very glad that I had my surgeries done and have very little pain and only some stiffness.

any other questions let me know. I am going to scan the pictures of my knee in soon so you can get an idea of what they did to my knees
